About Our Pizza

Here in Starkville’s only Tavern and oldest independent pizzeria you’ll enjoy our stuffed Chicago style and hand-tossed New York style pizza. Our sauce is a traditional blend of herbs and crushed pear tomatoes. The pizzas are stone-baked in an old-fashioned deck oven. This gives it the firm crust not found at other establishments that use conveyor belt ovens for speed. We then baste each crust with a buttery mixture of garlic and basil. Please enjoy.

Second City Pizza

Our signature version of this stuffed Chicago style pizza is double-crusted and served in a steel pie pan. The cooking time is longer due to the thickness of this deliciously stuffed pizza pie. We serve a complimentary order of our bread sticks to enjoy with your favorite beverage as you wait. Consider calling ahead of time to get it in the oven if you’re in a hurry.
